Funding Opportunities

Each year NC Space Grant solicits proposals and applications from university personnel to participate in the following programs:

Program	Description
New Investigations Program Due: Each February Max: $15,000	Provide startup funding to university personnel who are conducting research that is directly aligned with NASA’s priorities and who have either yet to become established researchers or are pursuing a significant change in research direction.
Higher Education Course Development Program Due: Each February Max: $10,000	Initiate interdisciplinary and/or distance learning courses increasing student's understanding of complex aero/space issues.
K-12 Professional Development Program Due: Each February Max: $15,000	Develop and implement K-12 aero/space-related professional development activities.
Informal Education and Public Outreach Programs Due: Each February Max: $5,000	Develop and implement activities to increase the appreciation and knowledge of aero/space-related issues of the general population of North Carolina
